Dental Implants

Dental implants create artificial tooth roots, which then function as a base for an artificial tooth. This is a more stable alternative to dentures, bridges, and crowns. While these implants can be used to replace any teeth, they are most often considered for the front teeth where aesthetics matter the most. Once they are settled in place, the feel, look, and function just as health natural teeth do.

When the function of the teeth is fine, but looks are a concern, veneers may be an option. Veneers are thin composite or porcelain shields that fit over the fronts of the teeth. These can be used to mask issues such as shape, chips, discoloration, and other aesthetic issues. They do require filing down the teeth, so they are a permanent change. However, they last a decade or more, which makes it worth it for most clients.

With TMD, there are clear physical concerns, such as the pain it causes and the wear on the teeth. However, there are also aesthetic concerns to be considered. For example, teeth can be worn down, making them misshapen, due to teeth grinding at night. Our TMD treatments help to eliminate these habits and keep the teeth healthy and looking great.

Dentures have gotten a bad reputation over the years, with no shortage of GIFs online showing them slipping out and causing other embarrassing mishaps. However, modern techniques reduce the chances of these problems occurring, and new technology allows them to look and feel more natural than ever. As such, as long as you get them refitted from time to time, you can expect your dentures to keep your secret.
